Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 21 years old
• A valid CDL. Your CDL must be from the state that you declare to be your point of permanent domicile. To join the student program must have valid drivers license and meet the Homeland Security / Transportation Administration requirements.
• Must provide no less than 10 years of driving work history, non driving work history for the past five years (you will need this at orientation to complete paperwork).
• Previous employers and references will be checked and must be verifiable.
• A stable work history and good references (for experienced drivers no more than 3 employers in last year).
• No Abandoned Trucks at previous employers.
• Successfully complete the starting classes for Contractors or Orientation for employees.

Safety Issues for CDL Holders:

• No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last three years (this includes DWI's, DUI's and BAC's).
• No reckless driving convictions in the last three years.
• No license suspension for points in the last three years.
• No more than three moving violations during the last year.
• Must have no more than four moving violations and / or accidents during the last three years.

Safety Issues for Applicants into our CDL Program:

• No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last four years (this includes DWI's, DUI's and BAC's).
• No reckless driving convictions in the last three years.
• No license suspension for points in the last three years.
• No more than two moving violations during the last year.
• Must have no more than three moving violations and / or accidents during the last three years.

Documents:

• Have required documents to complete the US Department of Justice INS I-9 work form, or certified state copy of birth certificate or US passport and if not a US Citizen, all required valid work authorization documents. • In addition to your CDL you must carry and present one or more of the following
• US Passport
• State Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
• INS paperwork that shows US Citizenship or that permanent alien residence has been established and is current.
• Be prepared to apply for a TWIC card if driver does not already possess one.
• Successful completion of Prime's orientation program.

Criminal History:

• No felony convictions within the last seven years, from the time restitution (fine, sentence, etc…) was completed. Convictions older than seven years will be considered on a case by case basis.
• No Controlled substance events in past seven years.
• Crimes involving dishonesty, theft, or fraud are disqualifying events, other issues will be considered on a case by case basis.
• Have not been incarcerated within last five years.
